Charmian Victoria Hays

Charmian was born November 17, 1948 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of the late Ethel (Vida) and Carl Bolles. She passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at her residence.

Charmian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time and cooking for her grandchildren and family members. She enjoyed collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, lighthouses and handbags. She also enjoyed playing card games, Nintendo, tanning and attending her son’s BBQ competitions.

Survivors include her husband, Sherman Hays of Lufkin; sons, Brian Erbe and wife Carmen of Royse City and Robert Janeway Jr. and wife Russann of Mabank; daughters, Dawn Hull of Lansing, Michigan, Scarlett Keck and husband Jake of Norman, Oklahoma, Melanie Teague and husband James of Lufkin and Shannon Blasingame and husband Terry of Hudson; sister, Linda Pace of Lansing, Michigan; grandchildren, Brantley, Cody, Brian, Sydnie, Colten, Juliet, Robert III, Tricia and Kevin; and great-grandchildren, Eliza, Ari, Amelia, Maggie and Tessa.

In addition to her parents, Charmian was preceded in death by her brothers, Edmond Bolles, Carl Bolles Jr., and Cedric Bolles; sister, Lenore Bolles; and previous husband, Robert Janeway Sr.

Cremation services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
