

Services for Claude Elroy Hamilton, 64, of Diboll, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Bennett Cemetery.
Mr. Hamilton, the son of Ruby (Dykes) Hamilton Richardson and Claude Jesse Hamilton, was born August 4, 1952 in Lufkin. He passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 in a local hospital.
Claude attended school in the Zavalla School District. He owned Zavalla Propane for twenty years. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved to hunt, fish, and go to Canton for the flea market. He dearly loved his wife Linda, and they were married for 35 years. They did everything together.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Hamilton of Diboll; son, Alan Tetu of Diboll; brother-in-law, Royce Eddington and wife Mary of DeSoto; nephews, Royce Eddington, Jr. and wife Yolanda of McAllen and Richard Eddington of Dallas; and special friends, David and Marie Cochran of Lufkin and Hans and Carroll Hoose of Pollok.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Corbin Dallas Tetu; and stepfather, Joseph Richardson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Treadway, Garry Treadway, David Cochran, Hans Hoose, James Leavell, Bob Tetu and James Leftivich.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Carswell, Charles Donahoe, Howard Guidry, Bobby Epperly and Royce Eddington.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gipson Funeral Home.
