Cleda Mae Benner

Services for Cleda Mae Benner, 95 of Trinity, will be Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the EMG Chapel located within the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Bro. Horace Fletcher officiating.

Mrs. Benner was born August 29, 1922 in New Haven, Illinois, the daughter of the late Daniel Griffith and Ethel Mae Blackburn. She passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2018 in Trinity, Texas.

Mrs. Benner was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was devoted to her family and she will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Cecelia

Williams of Houston; son, John Benner of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Betty Benner of Pattison; daughter, Linda Grubbs of Texas City; daughter and son-in-law, Dot and Pete Paske of Trinity; grandchildren, Stephanie Freitas, Stacy Rushing, Melissa McFarlin, Susan Shelton, John Benner IV, Harry Brannan, Jonathan Brannan, Chris Brannan, Mike Grubbs, Shara Grubbs, Thomas Grubbs, Eddie Welch, and Allen Welch; along with numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Cleda was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ethel Templeton; husband, Fred Benner; daughter, Connie Brannan; and brother, Johnny Griffith.

The family will receive friends from on Saturday, prior to the service, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the EMG Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park Cemetery.
