Doris Todd

Mrs. Todd was born January 25, 1933 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Lillie Belle (Deaton) and James Floyd Havard. She passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 in a Wells nursing facility.

Mrs. Todd was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She worked as a receptionist in a medical office. She enjoyed embroidery and crocheting. Mrs. Todd loved The Gaither Homecoming singing. She was a member of Burke First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sisters, Nelda McMullen of Lufkin and Reta Mendenhall of Kingwood; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. She will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Todd was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Todd; son, James Todd; daughter, Charlotte Depew; sisters, Janette Costa and Faye Rodgers; and brothers, Dalton Havard and Eugene Havard.

Pallbearers will be Corey Turley, Ron Frampton and Charles “Charlie” Freeman.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. Friday until service time at the funeral home.
