Dorothy Evelyn Farley

Services for Dorothy Evelyn Farley, 96, of Diboll, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in the First United Methodist Church in Diboll, with Reverend David Goodwin officiating. Interment will be in the Ryan Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Farley was born January 31, 1921 in Beaumont, Texas, the daughter of the late Fannie (Blazek) and Hugh Cruthirds. She passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017, in a Lufkin nursing facility.

Mrs. Farley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Edward and Janice Farley of Diboll; son, James Lee Farley of Tucson, Arizona; daughter, Frances Gayle Farley of Lufkin; brother, Gayle Cruthirds; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Farley was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Farley; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Joya Cruthirds and Leslie and Mildred Cruthirds.

Pallbearers will be Richard Farley, Allen Farley, Randall Farley, Ernest Farley, Kaylon Whitworth, Keith Whitworth and Ryan Whitworth.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
