There was more to Eddie than what you saw. He was a joker with an off-the-wall sense of humor, an independent spirit with the dogged determination to keep rolling no matter the pain. Underneath was a big heart . He was as loyal a friend as you could ever have.....a good person. He was larger than life.

Eddie, you and your entire family have been a major force in my life for almost 60 years. And it won't stop now. If I do a memory a day of our "adventures" it will take us through the year 2086. One example of Eddie being Eddie and I will quit rambling. Once in a real jam, the mess I was in was suddenly taken care of. It was later I learned Eddie took care. if it. When I tried to thank him, he simply said, "that's what friends are for."
A large group of people will will understand that story. You're with me all the time old bud, in my memories and the yellow handle CASE pocket knife you gave me. Finally, my Mom saw right through you. She told me many years ago you were a big softee at heart...she was right.
