Mr. Burgay was born October 3, 1935 in Shelby County, Texas, the son of the late Mary F. (Allison) and Travis Burgay. He passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Burgay served his country in the United States Army.
Mr. Burgay was a loving husband and father. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He served his country in the United States Army from 1954 – 1957. Mr. Burgay was retired from Southwest Color Printing. He was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Keith Burgay; daughter, Lisa Burgay; and special friend, Sylvester Rodgers.
Mr. Burgay was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Burgay; and his parents.
There will be an open visitation for family and friends from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Gipson Funeral Home.
