Services for Emma Ruth Law Holt, 90, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Trey Ainsworth officiating. A reception will be held at the funeral home following the service. A private family interment will be in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Emma was born December 19, 1925 in Omaha, Texas, the daughter of the late James P. and Eula Law. She passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at her residence in Round Rock.
Emma was a devoted homemaker, creating a warm and loving life for her husband and children. She was an accomplished seamstress and especially loved quilting.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Holt and her partner Nancy Pruss of Silver Spring, Maryland; sister, Beth Edminster of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brothers and sister-in-law, Elsie and Vernon Redd of Tyler, David and Sylvia Holt of Alto, and Robert Holt of Ingram; three generations of nieces and nephews; and a host of living friends and relatives.
In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Si Holt, Sr.; son, Si Holt, Jr.; sisters, Sara Dixon and Mary Carpenter of Houston; and brother, James P. Law, Jr., of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
