Evelyn Pauline Hudnall

Evelyn Pauline (Miller) Hudnall, 81, of Huntington, was born June 8, 1930 in Douglass, Texas, the daughter of the late Bessie (Waller) and Dave Miller. She passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 in a Huntington nursing facility.

Mrs. Hudnall was a life-long resident of Angelina County. She was co-owner of Hudnall's Grocery in Huntington for 27 years, and previously worked at Perry Bros. and Baskin's Department Store. She was raised by her grandmother, Bell Waller. Mrs. Hudnall enjoyed working in her yard and preparing Sunday dinners for her family. She had a special love for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dogs. She was a member of Highway Baptist Church in Huntington.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Jeanette Hudnall and Vernon and Danita Hudnall, all of Huntington; daughter, Sherri Cannon of Huntington; grandchildren, Craig Hudnall, Jerod Hudnall and wife Shawna, Philip Hudnall, Colten Hudnall and wife Jessica, Jamie Gee and husband Rick, and Jentry Rowe and husband Jared; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Elton Miller and wife Iva of Arlington; and a number of other family members.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hudnall was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin "Nubbin" Hudnall; brother, Emmitt Miller; and sister, Lois Jones.

Pallbearers will be Craig Hudnall, Jerod Hudnall, Philip Hudnall, Colten Hudnall, Richard Gee, Jr., and Jerry Evett.

Services for Mrs. Hudnall will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Lamar Denby officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery in Huntington.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
