Services for Faye Stovall, 104, of Huntington will be Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Life Church in Huntington with Bro. Marlo Shubert and Jay Thornton officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.
Mrs. Stovall was born June 23, 1914 in Upsur County, Glimer to the late Eric Hill and Olie Weataerby and passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
Mrs. Stovall loved to go; she and Jonny Stovall rode train to California and visited nieces who lived there. After his death, she flew to Chicago at 90 years old and sat by a window where she could see out. She enjoyed life very much until she got to where she could not walk, god certainty blessed her with a long life.
Survivors include her daughter, Rita and husband Don Chamblee of Huntington; stepson, Clyde Homister of Kendaville, Ind. Twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild, also survive Mrs. Stovall,
Mrs. Stovall is preceded in death by her parents, sons, Gene Thornton, Rolwyn Thornton, and Troy Thornton. Four sisters and 3 brothers and three husbands C. J. Thornton, Mickey Homister and Johnny Stovall.
Pallbearers will be James Chamblee, Donald Chamblee, Ricky Chamblee, Scott Thornton, Gene Jr. Thornton and Randy Thornton.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
