Floyd Lee Morgan

Mr. Morgan was a retired English teacher, having taught in Japan, Lufkin, Diboll and Groveton ISD. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 4 years. Mr. Morgan was a member of Stallings Drive Church of Christ.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Gerry Griffith of Lufkin; brother, Charles Morgan of Lufkin; niece, Nealy Cook and her family of Crockett; nephews, Jerry Griffith and his family and Cary Griffith and his family, all of Lufkin.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Morgan's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

Memorial services for Mr. Morgan will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Jim Vaughan officiating. Iurnment will be in the Whitehouse Cemetery at a later date.

The family will visit with friends and loved one for 1 hour following the service.
