Frances Yvonne Steele

Frances Yvonne Steele, 69, of Lufkin, was born October 1, 1941 in West Monroe, Louisiana, the daughter of the late MeLisa Faye (Brock) and Ben Naron. She passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Steele was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a mother to all, and loved her children and grandchildren very much. She was a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Jessica Steele of Shreveport, Louisiana; daughter, Fran Steele of Lufkin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian and Lee Cain of Mississippi, Linda and Jerry Vineyard of Huntington, Melba and Byford Renfro of Huntington and Beverly and Lonnie Ashlock of Bonham; brother and sister-in-law, Carol and Nancy Naron of Pollok; granddaughter, Delaney Steele of Huntington; and grandsons, Elijah Steele and Grant Steele, both of Huntington; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Steele was preceded in death by Rex Andy Steele, her husband of 32 years.

Pallbearers will be Benji Lambert, Brad Naron, Brandon Ashlock, Grover Holst, Clint Ashlock and Johnny Naron.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Cain, Ronnie Lambert, Carol Naron, Jr. and Darrel Holst.

Services for Mrs. Steele will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2011 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Richard Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
