Mass of Christian Burial for Francisco Rosales Guerra, 74, of Lufkin, will be celebrated on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Fr. Denzil Vithanage, M.S., celebrant. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with the family receiving friends and loved ones from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Francisco was born on October 11, 1948 in Mexico, the son of the late Armandina Rosales and Isabel Guerra. He passed away on October 22, 2022 in his home.
Mr. Guerra worked as a landscaper for Georgia Pacific for 12 years. On his time off, he enjoyed cooking and fishing. Francisco was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include wife, Maria B. Guerra of Lufkin; sons, Francisco Guerra Jr. , Javier Guerra , and Richard Guerra all of Lufkin; brother, Jorge Jaime Guerra of Mexico; and sister, Teresa Morales of San Saba, Texas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Francisco was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Florinda Guerra; and brothers, Raul Guerra and Jesus Guerra.
