Fred Gilman Bradbury Jr.

Mr. Bradbury was born in Corpus Christi and graduated from Lufkin High School in 1965. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He played high school football as a running back for the Lufkin Panthers, # 40, and worked at Louisiana Pacific. He married Lois Ruth Cummings in 1966 and later married Sandi Bird in 1987. He began FGB construction in 1983. He enjoyed fishing and building things with his hands. He loved his grandchildren and family.

He is survived by wife, Sandi Bradbury of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, MeLisa and Royce Johnson of Baytown, TX; daughter, Julie Bradbury of Lufkin; grandchildren, Brock Nelson and wife Julie, Victoria Lauren Nelson, Tristin Bryce Johnson, Austyn Hunter Nash, James Brandyn Nash; great-grandchildren, Juliia Brookelin Nelson, Breydon Cole Nelson; step-brother and wife, John Martin and Lucy of Linden, TX; sister, Kathy Childress; and numerous other family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Brandi Leigh Bird.

Pallbearers will be Royce Lynn Johnson, Tristin Johnson, Hunter Nash, Brandyn Nash, Michael Jackson and Nicky Jackson.

Services for Mr. Bradbury will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, April 1, 2011, at Gipson Funeral Home.
