Truly sorry for the loss of your beautiful and so sweet mother. My mom is remembering some really fun times that group of friends had together. Have fond memories of Dena and Rebecca. God bless your families.

Auntie Dena was so loving and vivacious... someone I always looked forward to seeing on our visits to Texas.  Steve and I are brokenhearted by the loss, and sorry that we will miss the funeral today.  May you find comfort in the memories and in the love of those that remain.

Thinking about Auntie Dena today I am inspired by the grace with which she endured her own losses. I feel like she was able to keep smiling and laughing and loving due to her hope for THIS say when she can be with those she loved who proceeded her.

My heart goes out to her sons, and Freda, and all the family.

  As one of Dena's cousins, I want to say I loved and admired her.  I believe she brought much joy to those who knew her.  She had a beautiful smile and a genuine enthusiasm and love for people.  Seems you always enjoyed being around her.  She was an inspiration to me personally.
  One of my best memories of Dena was when she was still raising her family and I was a college student in Nacogdoches.  I stayed with the Talley family in their home for a short time and remember her beautiful family, their home and their hospitality.
  Dena started in the heart of God, was created by His hands and presented to us as a gift.  She was with us for 86 years but now has gone to her eternal home.  We can take great comfort in knowing we will see her again one day.
