Gary Dean Ikner Jr.

Gary was born August 2, 1980 in Nederland, Texas. He passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at his residence.

Gary was employed at ALLCOM AT&T Retailer for 12-1/2 years. He had recently relinquished the position of manager of the Lufkin store to become the computer IT technician for the stores in Lufkin, Nacogdoches, and Center. Computers were his passion. He enjoyed trips to the lake and water sports with his son, Gary Dean.

Gary is survived by Stephanie Marsh of Lufkin; son, Gary Dean Ikner, III of Lufkin; mother, Mae Louise “Susie” Ikner of Lufkin; close friend and mentor, Mourad El-Cassabgui; sister and brother-in-law, Andra and Brady Ivy of Lufkin; nephew, Trey Ivy; niece, Marisa Ivy; paternal grandmother, Delores Ikner of Vidor; maternal grandmother, Ruby Mae Donahue of Vidor; paternal uncles, Anthony Ikner and James Ikner, both of Vidor; maternal uncle, Robert Donahue of Vidor; father-in-law, William Wiggins; and a number of cousins and other family members.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Gary Dean Ikner, Sr.; paternal grandfather, Willie Sam Ikner; paternal uncle, Richard Ikner; maternal grandfather, John Donahue; and mother-in-law, Lillie Wiggins.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Gipson Funeral Home.
