Habie Grace Harbuck Hartman

Habie Grace Harbuck Hartman, 93, of Lufkin, was born March 6, 1917 in Alba, Wood County, Texas, the daughter of the late Habie Lee (Apel) and William Thomas Harbuck. She passed away Monday, October 4, 2010 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Hartman was the most caring person you could ever meet. She was a generous, giving person. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and gardening. She was retired as a sales clerk and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Deneva "Dee" Skelton; stepson, Mike Hartman; grandson, Robert D. Tarver; granddaughters, Michelle Kimmons, Kim Buglehall and Kelly Elibiary; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hartman was preceded in death by her husband, S. P. Hartman; son, Herbert Dale Huff; grandson, Clay M. Tarver; granddaughter-in-law, Betty G. Tarver; stepsons, Pat Hartman and Jack Hartman; 6 brothers; and 5 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Jake Stringer, Jack Earl Smith, Joe Stringer, Robert Slack, Dorsey Walker and Roger Harbuck.

Services for Mrs. Hartman will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielders Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
