

Services for Harold Kent Oldham, 66, of Wells, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church in Wells. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Wells.
Mr. Oldham was born October 21,1958 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of Mary Catherine Sessions and William Harold Oldham. He passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at M.D. Anderson Hospital, Houston TX.
Mr. Oldham was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed gunsmithing and reading. He served his country in the United States Army. In his younger years, he enjoyed involvement in The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), and after he was no longer active, would tell stories about it, always with a smile. He worked in various security services for many years after retiring from working in Texas Department of Corrections.
Mr. Oldham is survived by his wife, Linda Carol “Cindy” Oldham; daughter and daughter-in-law, Beverly Oldham and Betty Kyle of New Mexico; stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law: Susan Simmons of Huntsville, Traci and G.V. Jones of Silsbee, Melanie and Chris Henson of Seguine; Brothers and sisters-in-law, William Glenn and Amanda Oldham of Nacogdoches, Kerry Hugh and Nancy Oldham of Pollok; sister Catherine Angers and husband, Angie of Kerrville; grandchildren and step-grandchildren; Gwendolyn Aguilar, Candy Aguilar, Gabrielle Simmons Pauc, Nivlac Simmons jr. Luke Simmons, Mary Simmons Chrobocinski, Jodie Jones, Gracie Jones, Alyssa Jones, Zander Jones, Haley Ramirez, Brayden Ramirez, Micaiah Dittman, 9 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Oldham was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Hazel Oldham, and numerous uncles.
Pallbearers will be Randy Coe, Chris Durrett, Mateo Hatch, Matthew Oldham, Buddy Simmerman and Nivlac Simmons jr.
Honorary Pallbearers are Tracey Coe, Travis Sessions and Luke Simmons.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
