

Services for James Pack Bolton, 86, of Lufkin, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Myrton Thompson and Bro. Trey Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Bolton was born November 19, 1927 in Robertson County, Texas, the son of the late Dona (Andrews) and Pack Cleveland Bolton. He passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in a local hospital.
Mr. Bolton was a devoted husband. He was retired from Temple Associates. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Mr. Bolton was a member of Promise Land Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Bolton of Lufkin; sisters, Lois Damon, Genieva Davis, and Jeanette Ludwig; brothers, Brady Bolton and Delton Bolton; stepchildren, Cecil Broomfield and wife Mary, John Broomfield and wife Barbara, Pat Wood and husband Lonnie, Jo Ann Phillips and husband Maynard, Bonnie Campbell and husband Garry, and Janet Johnson and husband Bobby; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bolton was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Helen Bolton; sister, Faye; and sister, Verta Mae Hebner.
Pallbearers will be Cecil Broomfield, Ricky Broomfield, Randy Broomfield, Garry Campbell, Steven Johnson, and William Wooten.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
