James was born on July 8, 1938, in Brownwood, Texas. He went on to attend Stephen F. Austin State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. In 1966, he married the love of his life, Patricia Wilson, and together they shared 59 years of marriage, faith, family, and devotion.
James began his career as a chemist with Dow Chemical before transitioning into the pharmaceutical industry, where he spent more than twenty years. His work allowed him to travel all over the world selling medical equipment, and he carried that role with professionalism, knowledge, and a strong work ethic.
More important than any title, James was a man of deep faith and strong character. He was a member of The Gideons International, helping to spread the Gospel and serve others. James was a true Christian leader and a faithful follower of Christ. He and Patricia lived their faith openly, always looking for opportunities to share God’s word and reflect His teachings in their daily lives. James and his family were longtime members of Trinity Baptist Church, where they worshiped for many years.
James was a devoted family man who loved spending time outdoors and cherished the moments he shared with those he loved. He will be remembered for his steady presence, servant’s heart, Christian example, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends.
