Jeannine E Spangler Barnett

Services for Jeannine E. Barnett, 90, of Etoile, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2015 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Art Moody officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Barnett was born October 27, 1925 in Barryton, Michigan, the daughter of Mae and Homer Spangler. She passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 in a Lufkin hospital.

Mrs. Barnett was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had worked as an accountant. She was a friendly person and never met a stranger. She enjoyed cross stitching and shopping.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Carol Barnett of Etoile; granddaughters, Jennifer Evans and husband Ricky of Lufkin, Deidra Barnett Swank of Conroe, Shelby Treadaway and husband Dustin of Broaddus, Nikkie Abel of Etoile and Hannah Abel of Etoile; grandson, Charlie Ray Barnett and wife Jane of Lufkin; and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Barnett.

Mrs. Barnett’s family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Southland Health & Rehabilitation Center for their loving care of her.

Pallbearers will be Tommie Legg, Daniel Legg, Ronald Rosson, Jonathan Orso, Dustin Treadaway, and Kirk Morrison

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the funeral home.
