Jearldine was born on July 18, 1939, in Nacogdoches County, Texas, to Wilton and Mildred (Burt) Dudley. She spent her life loving her family, serving her church, and finding joy in the simple things.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Joseph Molandes; her son, Patrick Wayne Molandes; and her brother, McNiel Dudley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Kenneth Molandes and Michael Molandes and wife, Laura; her daughter-in-law, Cindy Molandes; her grandchildren, Keith, Jason, Chris, and Mark Molandes; six great-grandchildren; along with many dear friends and extended family members.
Jearldine had gifted hands and a caring heart. She loved sewing and quilting and was happiest when she was making something for someone she loved. She enjoyed cooking for her family and faithfully made rosary beads for her church, a reflection of her deep Catholic faith. More than anything, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Some of Jearldine's favorite moments were the quiet ones—sitting on her front porch, watching the world go by, visiting with family and friends, and simply enjoying God's blessings around her.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her strong faith, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her beloved Joseph and those who went before her.
A visitation and Rosary Service will be held at Gipson Funeral Home in Lufkin on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
Jearldine will then be laid to rest beside her husband at Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
