Gipson Funeral Home & Garden of Memories Memorial Park

Services for Jesus Mora Monroy, 40, of Lufkin, will be held at Noon Saturday, August 21, 201 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with the family receiving friends and loved ones from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Jesus was born July 1, 1981 in Mexico, the son of Rosa (Monroy) and Bartolo Delapaz. He passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 in North Richland Hills.

Survivors include his mother, Rosa Monroy; father, Bartolo Delapaz; brother and sister-in-law, Marco and Priscilla Delapaz; nephews, Gustavo and Mia Delapaz; cousins, Jennifer and Jose Angel Vidal, Archie, Joshua, Celeste, Angelica, King Efren and Antonio Licea; his cousins in Mexico; aunts and uncles, Marilu and Jose Vidal, Maria Consepcion, Rogelio, Raul, Benita, Karina, Fabiola, and Efrain.

Jesus was preceded in death by his brother, Gustavo Delapaz; and grandparents, Efren Monroy and Bernadina Rodriguez.

Pallbearers will be Marco Delapaz, Jose Vidal, Gustavo Delapaz, Joshua Monroy, Archie Monroy and Jose Angel Vidal.
