Joe was a loving father and grandfather. He loved his cars, he was a drag racer. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in Japan, and Korea.
He is survived by his daughter, Shaye Miller and husband Darell of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Shelby and Rilee Miller of Fort Worth, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Davis) Powell; parents; and brother, Tommy Powell.
A private graveside for family and close friends will be held March 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gann Cemetery.
Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
