Jon was born August 8, 1939 in Polk County, Texas, son to the late Frances Louise (Garrison) and Orin Currie Hughes. He passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023 in a local hospital.
Mr. Hughes served in the Marine Corp. During his service, he received a Good Conduct Medal. Jon attended the University of Houston Law Center and became a lawyer. He was also a judge for Harris County.
Survivors include sister, Jeannene Courtney and husband, Newt of Lufkin; niece, Cheryl Hearne and husband, David; and nephew, Chad Courtney and wife, Vicky.
He was preceded in death by parents.
