Jose Jesus Rosales

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church for Jose Jesus Rosales, with Reverend Ariel Cortes and Reverend Francis O’Dowd, celebrants. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with the family receiving friends and loved ones from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Rosales, 81, of Lufkin, was born July 20, 1932 in Valparaiso Zacatecas, the son of the late Sofia (Ibarra) and Amado Rosales. He passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at his residence.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. He moved to Lufkin in 1981, and was retired from Pilgrims Pride. Mr. Rosales was a soccer fan and coached soccer for the Men’s League. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sara Rosales; daughters and sons-in-law, Sofia and Raul Flores, Belem and Victor Espino, and Rocio and Isrrael Del Angel; sons and daughters-in-law, Luis and Lali Rosales, Gilberto and Lucy Rosales, Jose and Adela Rosales and Victor and Paytria Rosales; grandchildren, Joey Solis, Mya Solis, Zoey Solis, Jesse Solis, Joel Solis, Roque Flores, Stephanie Espino, Chris Espino, Victor Espino, Jr., Cesar Espino, Isrrael Del Angel, Jr., Chely Del Angel, Jared Del Angel, John Rosales, Luis Rosales, Gilberto Rosales, Tony Rosales, Yvette Rosales, Lexi Rosales, Victoria Lopez, and Presley Havard; and a number of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, John Rosales, Luis Rosales, Gilberto Rosales, Tony Rosales, Joey Solis, Jesse Solis, Joel Solis, Roque Flores, Chris Espino, Isrrael Del Angel Jr., and Jared Del Angel.
