Kathryn Parish

Services for Kathryn Parish, 90, of Diboll, Texas will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2022 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Paul Mettlen officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Ryan Chapel Cemetery in Diboll, Texas.

Kathryn was born May 26, 1931 to Lydia Mae (Williams) and Frank E. Smith in Mulberry, Arkansas, she passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in a local hospital.

Kathryn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her church and crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She loved holidays. Most important of all, she never met a stranger.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Posey; grandsons, Mike Gray and Curtis Parish; great grandchildren, Layne Gray, Landyn Gray, Riley Gray and Lexi Gray; special nephew, Shane Wright, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son, Wesley (Rusty) Parish; granddaughter, Shannon Marie Parish; husband, Morris L. Parish; mother Lydia Mae Smith; brothers, General Lee Smith; Frank Smith, and Shelly Smith.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
