Ken was a faithful, loyal, supportive and understanding friend to me and to my sons. After we'd evacuated here from NOLA during Hurricane Katrina, Ken had been one to see the day-to-day demands of unexpectedly becoming a single parent and raising two young boys well on my own. He'd brought entire meals by on a regular basis. With such a demanding schedule, working two jobs, and adjusting to an entirely different lifestyle, his kindness--and delicious food--helped our family so very much. Whether it was DivorceCare at Harmony Hill Baptist Church or other community groups, Ken was not only a valued participant, but an example to all of us of courage, humility and acceptance. He was an example of these qualities, too, during this past year of his physical struggle, even pain. Although I and all who knew Ken will miss him greatly, we take hope and comfort in Ken's no longer struggling physically, but delighting in the presence of the Lord, whom He knew and sought while here with us. I pray this hope and comfort for his family, who so faithfully supported him throughout his illness.

To Ken's Family,

Your Dad was a tremendous example to those of us who are still "trying to get it right." He was a kind, compassionate and sincere human who will be missed by many. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Ken was my friend, confidant, travel companion, sounding board, employer and advisor. He was the most positive minded, grateful oriented man I have ever met. He lived the spiritual principles he espoused, and in all aspects was a true gentleman. i am going to miss him something terrible, but there is thanksgiving that his physical pain is no more and there is joy in the sure knowledge of his salvation.
