Services for Linda Grogan, 74, of Diboll, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Stephen Courtney officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Linda was born September 9, 1950 in Cutler, Illinois, the daughter of the late Ethel Lucille (Rigdon) and William Edward Rednour. She passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025 in a Lufkin hospital.
Linda devoted her life to caring for others, both through her work and in her personal life. After moving to Lufkin, Texas, she began her career at the Lufkin State School and Burke Center, where she compassionately served clients with mental and physical disabilities. She later worked at Memorial Hospital and the Angelina Home Health, forming lifelong friendships along the way.
After retiring, Linda embraced every moment doing the things she loved most – especially spending time with her family and joyfully spoiling her precious grandbabies. She loved hunting for treasures at yard sales and took pride in selling them in her vending spaces. Her greatest passion, though, was her plants. Whether in her flower garden or greenhouse, Linda could be found pulling weeds, planting seeds, and sharing with family and friends.
Linda passed just three days shy of celebrating 56 beautiful years of marriage to her husband, Larry. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting legacy – a legacy that will continue through their children and grandchildren, who were her greatest pride and joy.
Linda is survived by her husband, Larry Grogan; daughter and son-in-law, Kelley and Bobby Cole; son, Kevin Grogan, seven granddaughters, Kaylie Burran, Kindsey Cheatham, Kaitlyn Millican, Kendall Cole, Krisley Cole, Kimber Cole, and Kenley Cole; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Jones; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wayne Rednour; and sister, Darlene Courier.
Pallbearers will be Cory Burran, Dakota Cheatham, Keyton Lumberaz, Matthew Millican; Dusty Heflin, Danny Conway and J J Heflin.
The family will received friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
