Lisha "Shorti" Denise Hammock

Lisha Denise Hammock (Shorti), was born September 22, 1963 to the late L.C. Rains and Delvin Parrish Rains. Mrs. Hammock passed away May 28, 2019 at her residence in Huntington Texas.

Lisha was little in stature, but had one of the biggest personalities .

She loved her family and friends. Lisha never met a stranger and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She was by far the most selfless person. To know her made you a better individual. Mrs. Hammock was known by many names Lisha, Shorti, Nanny, and even Mistress. She wore many hats over the years, but her biggest and favorite was caregiver as she cared for so many people.

Mrs. Hammock was survived by her fiancé, John ( Bubba) Helin; her stepson and wife, Keith and Lynda Hammock; stepdaughter, Brittany Puryear; sisters, Martha Watson, Clara Rains; brother, Luther Rains. numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hammock was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Forrest Hammock; and sisters, Mary Williams, Deberah Murphy, Linda Robinson.

Mrs. Hammock was laid to rest on May 30, 2019, next to the love of her life at Treadwell cemetery in Huntington Texas.
