Lynne E. Haines Perkins

Services for Lynne E. Perkins, 52, of Lufkin, will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Harmony Hill Baptist Church in Lufkin with Dr. John Greene and Dane Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Stryker Cemetery in Corrigan, TX.

Mrs. Perkins was born May 11, 1962 in Bourne, MA, the daughter of Constance (White) and the late Freddy Haines, and passed away December 30, 2014 at her residence.

She graduated from Central High School and married Darin Perkins on September 21, 1996. She worked for East Texas Printing for several years as a graphic artist designer. She was an amazing amateur photographer. She loved the beach, sunrises and sunsets and loved to travel. She was a member of the choir and praise team at Harmony Hill Baptist Church. She was a member of Lufkin Area Pacesetter Running Club, Angelina Bicycle Club, Vice President of LAPS, and she participated in triathlons and half marathons. She was also a member of Pinewood Pacers.

Survivors include husband, Darin Perkins, son, Dane Perkins, mother, Connie Haines, brother and sister-in-law, David and Sherri Haines, all of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Terri Haines of Bullard, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Emily and John Cavanaugh of Henderson, TX; nieces and nephews, Elise Cavanaugh, Eric Cavanaugh, Hannah White, Caleb Haines, Ryan Haines, Stede Granger II and Leah Granger; mother-in-law and her husband, Carol and Jerry Miller of Virginia Beach, VA; father-in-law and wife, Billy and Karen Perkins, of Bay City, TX; sister-in-law and husband, Sherry and Stede Granger of Atlanta, GA; brother-in-law, Michael Canino and Teresa of Lufkin; brothers-in-law, Richard Gray, Todd Messinger and Michael James Messinger.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by grandparents, Emma and C. C. White and Minnie and Claude Haines.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Haines, Ryan Haines, Glenn White, John Cavanaugh, Dane Perkins, Stacy Perkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gordon White and Dan Eddings.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the church prior to the service.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
