Margaret Louise Lockey

Margaret was devoted wife, mother grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her loving husband, Cyril F. Lockey; her daughters Tammy Hawthorne and husband Chris, and Pamela Jones and husband Michael; her grandsons, Clayton Mettlen, Joey and wife Maysi Hawthorne and James Jones; granddaughter, Katy Hawthorne and her great-granddaughters, Katelyn Hawthorne and Gracelyn Hawthorne. She is also survived by her brother, Dinnis Robinson and wife Arletta, her sister Anita Howell and Anna Benton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughter Tina Marie Lockey, who passed away in 2023.

Margaret found great joy in cooking and sewing, and was a faithful member of her church, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she especially loved serving in the kitchen. She never met a stranger and will be remembered for her warm and welcoming spirit. Margaret also enjoyed traveling with her husband.

A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 24,2026 at Gipson Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 25,2026 at Berry Cemetery in Lufkin Texas.
