Maribel "Paca" DeJesus

Services for Maribel “Paca” DeJesus, 48, of Diboll, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2020 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Juan Elizondo officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Haven Cemetery.

Maribel was born March 10, 1972 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of Maria (Rodriguez) and Raymundo DeJesus, Jr. She passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in a local hospital.

Maribel had worked as librarian at the Diboll Library for several years. She loved reading – especially anything by Nicholas Sparks. She loved her family and enjoyed going to her nephews’ ballgames, events and all school functions. Her life was her nephews.

She is survived by her parents, Maria and Raymundo DeJesus, Jr.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alberto and Gloria DeJesus and Raymundo and Maria DeJesus; sister, Alicia DeJesus; nephews and nieces, Luis Alberto and Laci, Eric and Brooklyn, Coby, Izaac, Alex, Nicholas, Andres, Adrian and Kruz; great-nephew, Daniel; and a number of other family members.

Pallbearers will be Alberto DeJesus, Raymundo DeJesus, Luis Alberto DeJesus, Eric DeJesus, Coby DeJesus, and Izaac DeJesus.

Honorary pallbearers will be Andres Tovar, Alex DeJesus, Adrian Tovar, Nicholas DeJesus, Kruz Jasso and Daniel DeJesus.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
