

Services for Marjorie Ann Frisby Barry, 65, of Beaumont, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2015 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Justin Carpenter officiating, assisted by Amanda McDonald. Margie will be interred in Concord Cemetery near Zavalla.
Margie was born November 11, 1949 in Houston, Texas. She went to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 1, 2015, while in Harbor Hospices in Beaumont.
Margie was a graduate of North Shore High School in Houston, Texas and took great joy in being a member of their Scarlett Drill Team. She was a member of the Rainbows for Girls. At the age of 15, Margie accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of the Uvalde Baptist Church for many years. Ryan’s Steakhouse was her employer for 15 years and she was currently employed by Rail Crew Express.
Margie was married to Ken Barry until his death in 1985, following an automobile accident. Margie was a loving mother and grandmother, and her kids and grandkids were her pride and joy.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Wayne Barry and wife Jessica and Chad Barry, all of Beaumont; daughter, Arian Barry of Beaumont; granddaughters, Cheyenne Barry and Autumn Barry of Beaumont; grandsons, Trey Barry and Justin Barry and Tyler Herrera, all of Beaumont; parents, J. T. and Maudine Frisby of Lufkin; special friend, Allison Dean, whom she loved like a daughter; sister, Sue Weidner of Cleveland; brother, David Payne of Alabama; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.
In addition to her husband, Ken Barry, Margie was preceded in death by her brothers, James Timothy “Tim” Frisby, and Edward, Leonard and Quinne Deese.
Memorial contributions in Margie’s memory may be made to Harbor Hospice, 2450 N. Major Drive, Beaumont, TX 77701.
The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
