I remember Mark as being one of the most genuinely nice guys when we went to Upper Moreland Jr. and Sr. High schools. He always a big smile on his face and he laughed, alot. My condolences to his family, may he Rest In Peace, and may your memories of him bring you peace.

Wow, we were classmates (1979 UMHS). We commented on a FB post a few weeks ago, and we would occasionally get on each other that he was an Eagles fan living in Texas and I'm a Cowboys fan living in NJ. Prayers and thoughts go out to the family. God Bless and RIP!

Bill shared NAPS stories with me today, but I remember you best with your young family in Melville Housing in Newport. It was a happy time... followed a few years later by a run of great '87 tailgates in Annapolis. So glad to have known you, Mark. Condolences to the whole family, Veronica especially. We love you.

I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of my friend and Naval Academy classmate and company mate Mark Gibson. Always upbeat, always with a smile on his face, who can forget the trips to his parents house for Army-Navy games? Or the balloon? Or the apology letter from the WP Supe? I never heard "Hoot," we called him Gibbey. I pass my condolences to Veronica and the rest of the family. Mark lived his life well, I hope I can do the same.

I met Mark for the first time on July 6th, 1983 and he was a great classmate and company-mate in 35th company, our plebe year at the Naval Academy.

Mark was always willing to help out a shipmate and had tremendous patience even though he was 4 years older than most of us with lots of worldly experience. I reconnected with Mark recently and had even discussed visiting the next time we visited some family and friends in Texas.

You will be missed Mark and condolences to the family.

Mark was a kind, sincere and genuine person all of his life. Loyal and committed to our Country and to his family and friends. I have many fond memories of him from playing football together all through school, enjoying Summer fun with his very inviting family in OCNJ, some fond memories of some NY Eve parties at his family home in Hatboro, Army Navy games with him and Thanksgiving time pick-up football as we all got older.
He was a gentleman, a patriot, and just an all around good and decent person. I will miss him and consider myself very lucky to have had many memories with him and for his friendship.
