(Mary) Andra Reeves Coe, 86, passed away peacefully at home on May 10, 2026. Born July 7, 1939, in Lufkin, Texas, Andra grew up there, graduated from Lufkin High School, and spent much of her early life surrounded by family. She worked alongside her mother in the family drapery shop before building a life centered on love, family, and togetherness.
Andra married Vernon on December 15, 1995, during one of the many cruises they enjoyed together. Their love was unmistakable — they were always laughing, holding hands, and sharing affection. Andra treasured family gatherings, especially Thanksgiving, her favorite holiday because it was simply about gratitude and being together. She also loved celebrating her birthday alongside Fourth of July festivities. Some of her happiest moments were spent playing Yahtzee with her grandchildren, traveling to visit family here in Texas and all the way to Iowa, watching old black-and-white movies with Vernon, and enjoying quiet evenings on the porch swing with a glass of diet green tea.
Andra is survived by her loving husband Vernon; sister Freda Reeves Ray; children Keith Gilbert, Angela Gray-Lockard and husband William, Sherri Coe and husband Waseem, Courtney Coe and wife Karen, and Michael Coe; along with her many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Anthony Gilbert, wife Amber, and children Taylor, Aeson and Raylyn, Sabrina Gilbert-Moore and children, Julia, Jonathan and Timothy, Cameron Gilbert, wife Keely and daughter Miller, Madison Gilbert-Kelso and husband Joshua, Jeremy Gilbert and children John, Joseph, Bella and Naomi, Christian Gilbert and children Yosiah and Yolina, Amber Gilbert-Neumann and husband Stephen, Brittany Gilbert-Alfaro, husband Marcus and children Celia, Stephen and Violet, Quentin Gray, Samantha Beck, husband Chase and daughter Brooklyn, Sophia Hagan and husband Joseph, Lorelei Lucas, Michael Gray, wife Taylor and children, Hadleigh, Wrenleigh, Finleigh, and Everleigh, Lilly Lockard Schuett, husband Jacob and son Samuel, Nicholas, Lockard and children Brealynn, Aubree and Greyson, Kelly Plagmann and daughter Kenleigh, Michael Coe, Nona Jensen, husband Derek and two children.
