Services for Myrell Oliver Wilson, 94, of Wells, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Wells. Ms. Wilson was born March 12, 1924 in Wells, TX, the daughter of the late Shug (Simpson) and James Rueben Oliver, and passed away June 9, 2018 in Lufkin. Myrell was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She worked at the post office in Wells, TX in the late 1930’s, the broom factory in Wells in the early 1940’s and in airplane manufacturing during World War II. She loved sewing and spending time with her grandchildren. She never met a stranger. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, John Davidson and Roxanne; daughter, Jeannie Wilson; daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary Barton and Robert; sons, Don Wilson and Robert Wilson; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 8 brothers, 3 sisters and a daughter-in-law. Pallbearers are Dennis Wilson, Thomas Barton, Daniel Barton, John Barton, Clinton Davidson, and Simon McIntyre. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Gipson Funeral Home. Services are in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home
