Nancy was the beloved daughter of Carl Dupree Evans and Geneva Ann Doyle Evans. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Mary Jordan, Betty Ford, and John Evans.
A woman of creativity, warmth, and resilience, Nancy lived in Lufkin for the past 20 years. Earlier in life, she spent many years as a talented hairdresser in Snyder, Texas, working at Nancy’s Art Style, a well-loved salon owned by her friend Nancy — a friendship that endured through the years.
Later in life, Nancy embraced adventure, traveling extensively while working with Montana Silversmith. She built cherished memories and friendships that stayed with her.
Nancy’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Williamson of Abilene, Texas; her two daughters, Nena Patterson and husband Tommy of Snyder, and Ann Margaret Sanchez and husband Daniel of Waxahachie; six grandchildren, Craig Forbes, Riley Patterson, Chelsea Michels, Colton Patterson, Sara Clements, and James Sanchez; and 13 great-grandchildren who brought endless pride and joy to her life. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who were touched by her kindness, laughter, and love.
Nancy will be remembered for her strong spirit, generous heart, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life. Her memory will live on in all who loved her.
