Patricia Jean Johnson Cochran

Mrs. Cochran was born April 15, 1948 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Mary Sue (Carrier) and Herbert C. Johnson. She passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Cochran was a homemaker, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers and hummingbirds. She was a pet lover who spoiled her animals. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wells.

Survivors include her husband, Leland Cochran of Pollok; daughter, Lisa Sue Vinson of Wells; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and David “D.B.” Redd of Pollok; stepson and his wife, Dennis and Toni Cochran of Pollok; granddaughters, Jessica Grimes and husband, Tommy Grimes, Brittney Redd, Heather Vinson, Chasity Vinson, and Christi Cochran; grandsons, Brett Redd, Haden Vinson, and Michael Cochran; great-grandchildren, Chesa Grimes and Rayden Rash; brother and sister-in-law, Sid Johnson and Carol Smith; special friends, Joy Poehl and Debby Duren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cochran was preceded in death by her stepfather, J. C. Wood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Cochran’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of Angelina County, 1102 N. John Redditt Drive, Lufkin, TX 75904.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
