Patricia Ann Huntress, age 68, of Lufkin, Texas, passed away on February 7, 2025. She was born on October 25, 1956 in San Antonio, Texas. Her parents were James R. and Emma Ruth (Baker) Huntress, who preceded her in death.
Patricia leaves behind her daughters Crystal Larson and her husband Stein, and Tiffany Batten and her husband Brian. And five grandchildren: Josey, Henry, and Leif Larson, and Reed and Emory Batten.
Patricia graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2001 with her Bachelor’s in Art Education. She dedicated her career to inspiring others as an art teacher, sharing her passion for creativity with countless students. She had a love for travel and cherished the peaceful moments she spent at the beach.
A private memorial service for family and friends will be announced at a later date. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to those who have expressed their love and support during this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Women’s Shelter of East Texas or the Museum of East Texas.
