The son of the late Paul Daniel Moran, Sr. and Odessa "Bessie" Moran, Paul was born on September 6, 1931 in Lufkin, Texas. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Judy. He is also preceded in death by brothers, Stuart and Louis, and sisters, Verna, Rosie and Pauline. Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman and made a living by working with his hands. He was a Christian, country gentleman who was very proud of his sons and grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his children, Scott Moran and his wife, Debbie, of Houston; Keith Moran and his wife, Grace, of Hinesville, Georgia; and Mark Moran of Billings, Montana; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Gipson Funeral Home, 1515 South Chestnut, Lufkin, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the Mount Zion Baptist Church, FM Road 842, Lufkin, Texas. Rev. John L. Sandridge and Rev. Keith Wolff will officiate.
