Paulina S. Gonzalez

Services for Paulina S. Gonzalez, 75, of Diboll, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Paulina was born Jun 11, 1945 in Mexico, the daughter of the late Bruna (Medina) and Ladislado Salazar. She passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 in a local hospital.

Paulina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She was devoted to her grandchildren and loved attending her church, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was an active member of Las Guadalupanas.

Survivors include her husband, Filiberto Gonzalez of Diboll; sons, George Castilleja and wife Liziel and Nicholas Castilleja III and wife Anne, all of San Diego, California; daughters, Perla Encinas and husband Juan of Big Lake, Marisa Gonzalez of Emory and Sonia Carrillo and husband Jose of Diboll; brother, Marcelino Salazar and Aurelio Salazar, both of Mexico; sisters, Alejandra Cedillo and Juanita Salazar, both of Mexico; grandchildren, Nicholas IV, George Jr., Sylvia, Tonito, Romie, Cassandra, Alberto, Adrian and Gael; great-grandchildren, Mila, Camilla and Nicholas V; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Paulina was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
