Pauline (Jones) Brookshire

Services for Pauline Jones Brookshire, 87, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2020 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Keith Woolf officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.

Mrs. Brookshire was born December 19, 1932 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Elsie Belwood (Smith) and James Franklin Jones and raised by her second mother, Alice Jones. She passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Brookshire was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a retired nurse.

Survivors include her son, Robert Brookshire of Lufkin; daughter, Mary Quinn and husband Anthony of Morton’s Gap, Kentucky; 2 sisters; 1 brother; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brookshire was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Glenn

Brookshire; and son, James Clayton Brookshire.

The family will receive friends from Noon until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
