

Memorial services for Phillip Michael Galloway, 69, of Lufkin, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with his brother, Bro. Bruce Galloway and Pastor Scott Reed officiating.
Phillip was born August 30, 1948 in Warren, Arkansas, the son of the late Christine (Swann) and James Edward Galloway. He passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at his residence.
Phillip was a dedicated family man and devoted husband, father and brother. He was a police officer for more than 30 years and worked with the FBI task Force. He served as case manager for the Texas Department of Human Services and MHMR. He was a graduate of UT Tyler and later attended the University of Virginia. He trained German Shepherds, had a Masters Peace Officer’s License and was a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Terry Galloway of Lufkin; son, Jason Galloway of Lufkin; brothers, Officer Tony Galloway and wife Vickie of Lufkin and Bro. Bruce Galloway and wife Sharon of Woodville; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Galloway.
