Richard Lloyd Dennie

Mr. Dennie served his country in the United States Air Force. He was an electrician for Lufkin Industries for many years. Mr. Dennie was a member of the Denman Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ilene Dennie, of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Scott Staskus, daughter, Carolyn Jansen; daughter and son-in-law, Lori Olivarez Jones and Jeffrey Jones; daughter, Lisa Butler; grandchildren, Chris and Melissa Dennie, Miranda and Joey Harris, Katrina and Jonathan Davis, Shane Jansen, Morgan, Luke and Gabriel Olivarez, Alexia, Kaitlin and Trey Butler; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Leila Evans and Grace Green; brother, Donald Dennie; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Dennie was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Mark Jansen; and brother, Howard Dennie.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010 in the Denman Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
