

Graveside services for Robert “Bob” McBride, 70, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the Bennett Cemetery in Trinity County, Texas, with Bro. Ford Adkins officiating. The services will be under the auspices of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge No. 669, A.F. & A.M.
Bob was born October 16, 1943 in Kennard, Texas, the son of the late Damaris (Ivie) and Burl “Pete” McBride. He passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014, in a local hospice facility.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was retired from Viking Trailers. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and working in the yard. He vacationed a lot in Colorado. He was a member of Lufkin Masonic Lodge No. 669, A.F. & A.M. and Crosstimbers Cowboy Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra McBride of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Shane Self of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Dana McBride of Montgomery; grandchildren, Chelsea McBride, Trevor Self, Cade Self and Austin Self; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Ronnie Lewis of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Sophie.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his grandson, Chandler McBride.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Bailey, Jay Bailey, Dean Brown, Charles Warrick, Clay Lewis, and DeWayne Collins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
