Ronnie Lee Collins

Ronnie Lee Collins, 70, of Carmona, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s Hospital in Lufkin, Texas. Ronnie was born December 3, 1955, in Nederland, Texas, to Venita Arnold and Eddie Junior Collins.

Ronnie was the kind of man who enjoyed the everyday things in life. He was an avid hunter. There is no where he would have rather been than in a deer stand on a chilly morning. Ronnie liked to dance with his wife to older country music. He loved being around family at family events. His favorite part was playing dominos, specifically 42.

If someone needed help, he was always one of the first to volunteer and show up. Ronnie was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, in Fairview, Texas.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Venita Arnold; stepfather, Raymond Arnold; father, Eddie Junior Collins; father-in-law, Marlon Register; and brother-in-law, Steven Register.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sharon Collins of Carmona; daughter and son-in-law, Shanda and Brandon Huebner of Nederland; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Mandy and Brandon Burris of Willis, and Misty and Brady Boudreaux of The Woodlands.

His grandchildren are Brandon Keith Huebner II, Clayton Huebner, Zachery Huebner, Tyson Burris and wife Mikayla, Christian Romoser, Gabriel Huebner, Abigail Boudreaux, Mason Burris, Gracie Boudreaux, Andre Boudreaux, and Ethan Boudreaux.

He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Jean Register; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Donnie West; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Susie Collins and Ricky and Mary Collins; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jan and Mike Albritton, Karon and Dennis Lenderman, and Dianne Register; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and other loved ones.

All services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Gibson Funeral Home in Lufkin, Texas. The Family will hold a private visitation at 12:00 PM. Public Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM with Interment immediately following at Whitehouse Cemetery in Lufkin, Texas.

Pallbearers: Clayton Huebner, Zachery Huebner, Christian Romoser, Gabriel Huebner, Mason Burris, and Ethan Boudreaux.

Honorary Pallbearers: Tyson Burris, Brandon Keith Huebner II, Brandon Huebner, Brandon Burris, and Brady Boudreaux.
