Born on January 27, 1951, in Lufkin, Texas, Sherry and her sister, Carolyn (Lyles) Hall, were the first set of identical twins born at Memorial Hospital—a distinction that began a life full of unique and memorable moments. Sherry lived with a vibrant spirit and an open heart, making a lasting impression on everyone she met.
A true lover of the outdoors, Sherry found her greatest joy on the water, fishing alongside her beloved husband, Thomas Wayne Ogden. The lake was her happy place, and she spent as many days as she could basking in its peace and beauty. Her adventurous nature, infectious laughter, and deep love for her family defined the way she lived—fully and without reservation.
Sherry is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas Wayne Ogden; her loving daughter, Shannon (Bentley) Packard, and son-in-law, Joe Packard; her cherished grandchildren, Randi Bentley and Jace Bentley; three great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. Her twin sister, Carolyn (Lyles) Hall and brother-in-law Bob Hall, her brother Roy Lee Lyles and sister-in-law Theresa Lyles and her sister Donna Conner and brother-in-law Bobbie Conner. Her family was the light of her life, and her legacy lives on in each of them.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert William Lyles, brother, Charles Ray Lyles, her mother, Helen Inez Helm, step-father JW Helm and brother Hugh Robert Lyles.
