Services for Theodore Grant, 76, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 in the Liberty Baptist Church in Newton, with Pastor Andrew B. Martin, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in the Community Cemetery in the Shankleville Community in Newton.
Today we celebrate the homegoing of Theodore Grant. On May 17, 1938, God blessed Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt and Beulah Grant with a baby boy. He was the 7th child out of twelve.
In his life, he marveled in living his own special way of being happy, kind-hearted and friendly to many people he met. Theodore attended Liberty High School and in 1958 moved to McNary, Arizona and began a career at the Lumber Mill until the entrepreneurship within him opened and he started his own Logging Company.
Theodore Grant met and married Melline “Susanne” Ficklin and out of that union, one child was born, Mary Sue Grant.
Theodore Grant’s life on earth is over, but his memories will be cherished by his daughter, Mary Sue (Tony) Flagg; grandchildren, Jessica (Golinsky “LG”) Lamartiniere and Ramone Flagg; three (3) great-grandchildren, Ramone Flagg II, Isaiah Flagg, and Elijah Flagg; brothers and sisters, Edison (Mary) Grant, June (Joe) Cooper, Bobbie Grant Chatman, Ulysses Grant, and Joyce Grant Taylor; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from noon until service time at the church.
