The first time Viv and I ever spoke, I had just moved into my house. I killed a huge cotton mouth in my yard. Viv was walking the fence row, tending to her beautiful flowers. I hollered at her over the fence " ma'am, I just killed a huge snake right over here by the fence..." She said " Honey, these snakes round here know me by name. Bring that baby over here when you get a chance. Roy's got him a cookie.." After my little boy, who was 2 at the time, woke up from his nap, we walked over to meet the neighbors. She took us in to meet her husband, Roy. He was on an oxygen machine in the livingroom. He gave my son a saltine cracker. Vivian and I sat on the porch that day, talking about plants and flowers, cooking, babies, her family, my family.... Hours went by but seemed like only minutes. I felt so comfortable around her. She was very wise and good natured. And blunt as hell. After that day, 13 years ago, we became really close. I would have done anything for that sweet woman. If I ever needed to know the truth, like REAL TRUTH about anything, all I had to do was ask. I'm gonna miss my friend so much. I don't even know what it's gonna be like to not hear her voice across the fence.  Her flowers will never bloom quite like they used to. And the smell of skillet gravy and honey suckles will forever remind me to slow down, think and proceed with confidence in all that I do. I love u Vivian.

R.I.P. Auny Vivian you will be missed. Have lots of memories from fishing, get cows in shoot, or just walking down the old dirt road. You suffered a long time with pain. But now you pain free. I love you Aunt Vivian

The best Grandma ever,  and the only one I knew. I will always miss you grandma,  love you so much.  

Sorry for the loss of Auntie Viv.  Love all yall.  She will be greatly missed.  Our loss is heaven's gain.  She is happy with the ones that left her behind.  Till i see you again Auntie Viv, love you sweetheart.  All my cousins, i am sending you prayers and hugs.  Such a great, loving mom yall had.  I will remember her always smiling and being funny.  she was a hoot to be around.  hugs, kisses and prayers.  

I have only known Vivian for just 3 years, but she touched my heart the day I met her.  Always gave a hug and a smile.  I will miss her.  Rest now for God has called you home.  Love you.

I remember when Grandma referred to me as " Her little Donkey", and i  would always ask her to dance with me when i was a little boy, i remember how much she loved Elvis Presley, so i would always get grandpa to fix my hair like Elvis Presleys, my grandma was the sweetest kindest woman in the world, she loved my grandpa dearly, I know she is with grandpa now. And they are either dancing, or sitting in golden rocking chairs in heaven enjoying each others company, my grandma n grandpa had a special kind of relationship, Real Love. Vivian Langley will always be loved and never forgotten, missed dearly.. i have lost apart of my heart with her passing.
